The EIB603TYC alarm is activated by heat from a fire, not smoke, which makes it ideal for kitchen installations where smoke detectors are prone to nuisance alarms.
The EIB603TYC has a 10 Year Lithium battery that is non replaceable. The EIB603TYC should always be interconnected to other smoke alarms in the dwelling or escape routes to ensure that all occupants are alerted to the danger.
