Innovative approach to distributing 4 separate satellite polarities (VL, VH, HL, HH) as well as the entire terrestrial band (CATV) down a single core of fibre. Each of the 5 services are modulated onto different wavelengths between 1550 and 1558nm. These separate wavelengths are then combined onto the same fibre using DWDM technology. The resulting fibre-optic output is one that carries all 5 separate signals which can all be fed through an EDFA for optical amplification and may even be combined with a 1310/1490nm FTTx Ethernet product. All this without the need to stack satellite polarities as some other products do.
