Key Features
  • Joins different sizes of stranded aluminium conductors
  • Suitable for circular stranded and sector stranded aluminium conductors
  • Barrier design helps prevent oil and water ingress
  • Compatible with CABAC and MSS Power tools and dies
  • Designed for standard Australian hex crimp tooling
  • Fully annealed aluminium construction
  • Four specified crimps provide secure conductor retention
Professional Installation Requirements
  • Installation must be performed by a suitably qualified electrician on de-energised conductors using the specified CABAC crimp dies and procedure. Prepare aluminium conductors to control oxide formation, insert them to the correct depth and do not crimp close to the centre barrier, as incorrect crimp positioning may shear the link.
Applications
  • Joining 240mm² and 185mm² aluminium power conductors
  • Underground power distribution networks
  • Electrical power transmission and distribution systems
  • Reducing joints between different-sized aluminium cables
  • Aluminium cable tails and fly-lead connections
  • Commercial, industrial and utility electrical installations
Standards & Compliance
  • AS/NZS 4325.1 compression and mechanical connectors for power cables with copper or aluminium conductors
Environmental Benefits
  • Aluminium construction is recyclable at end of service life
  • Barrier sealing helps protect the joint from moisture and contamination, supporting longer service life
  • Lightweight aluminium construction can reduce material and transport impacts compared with heavier metal alternatives
  • Durable crimped connections can reduce premature replacement and associated installation waste
