Flexible Cable: Single Core and Rubber Types for Electricians and Panel Builders
Flexible cable is built for wiring that has to bend, route through tight spaces and land on terminals without fuss. This SCHNAP range covers LSZH panel wire, V90HT single core cable, earth cable and H07RN-F rubber cable, from small control sizes up to heavy power sizes like this 10.0mm V90HT single core cable in black. Most lines are sold as rolls or cut lengths, so you can order what the job needs.
What's in This Range
- Small-size panel wire — the 0.75mm LSZH panel wire in brown is a single core flexible wire rated 0.6/1kV, listed for control panel and switchboard wiring.
- Mid-size panel wire — the 1.5mm LSZH panel wire in blue uses low smoke zero halogen insulation for added safety in a fire.
- Class 6 single core cable — the 6.0mm Class 6 V90HT cable in black is rated 0.6/1kV and comes in a 100m roll.
- Large single core cable — the 35.0mm V90HT cable in red covers heavy power runs at the same 0.6/1kV rating.
- Earth cable by the 10m — the 16.0mm green/yellow earth cable is V90HT rated and sold in 10m lengths.
- Earth cable by the metre — the 10.0mm V90HT earth cable is cut to length per metre.
- Two-core rubber cable — the H07RN-F 2C+E 2.5mm rubber cable has two cores plus earth and a 450/750V rating.
- Three-core rubber cable — the H07RN-F 3C+E 1.5mm rubber cable adds a third core for equipment that needs more conductors.
Who Uses This
- Switchboard and control panel builders who wire inside enclosures where cable needs to bend and fit.
- Electricians running earth leads and flexible single core tails between switchgear and equipment.
- Contractors who need a flexible multi-core cable to connect plant and equipment.
- Maintenance teams who replace cable on machines and need a matching size and colour fast.
Flexible Cable — Common Questions
What is the difference between LSZH and V90HT flexible cable?
LSZH means low smoke zero halogen insulation, which gives added safety in a fire. V90HT is a high temperature PVC insulation. Both appear in this range at 0.6/1kV, for example the 0.75mm Class 6 V90HT cable in black.
What colours can I get?
Panel wire and single core cable come in colours such as black, blue, brown and red, plus green/yellow for earth. The rubber cable is grey. See the 4.0mm LSZH panel wire in red for one example.
Who should install flexible cable?
The product pages say installation should be done by a licensed electrician. Check the size, rating and insulation on the product page before you order.
