ColorVu and AcuSense Features

ColorVu is associated with colour imaging in low-light conditions, while AcuSense models use supported analytics to classify people and vehicles. The specific features depend on the camera model and configuration. Selected ColorVu models may also include active strobe and audio warning, while specified AcuSense models may include human/vehicle classification. Confirm the feature set for the exact model before specifying a camera.

Fixed Network Cameras

For fixed-site video surveillance, the DS-2CD2367G2P-LSU-SL ColorVu 6MP turret camera is listed with a fixed 2.8 mm lens, 30 m infrared range, 130 dB wide dynamic range and an IP67 rating. Its listed features also include active strobe/audio warning and human/vehicle classification. These attributes help define the intended coverage and alerting requirements, but they should not be generalised to other models. A different option is the DS-2CD2T66G2-2I-6MM 6MP AcuSense bullet camera, listed with a fixed 6 mm lens, 60 m infrared range, 120 dB wide dynamic range and IP67 protection. Compare lens angle, required identification distance, mounting position and lighting conditions before choosing between camera formats.

Mobile and Vehicle Surveillance

For vehicle installations, the AE-MD5043 4-channel mobile DVR is listed for HD-TVI camera inputs up to 1080p and supports two 2.5-inch HDD/SSD drives. The AE-MN5043-RJ45 4-channel mobile NVR is a different recorder type, listed with PoE connectivity and support for up to 5MP resolution. Check camera signal/interface, recorder inputs, storage and vehicle power requirements before selecting a recorder; the channel count alone does not establish compatibility. For vehicle monitoring, a listed option is the AE-DI2032-G40-INDIVIDUAL 1080p 4G mobile dash camera. It is specified with 1080p video and 4G connectivity. Confirm the intended vehicle application and connection requirements before ordering.

Cat6 Data Cable

For data-network cabling, the DS-1LN6-UE-W Cat6 UTP data cable is an unshielded blue cable supplied on a 305 m reel, with 23 AWG copper conductors. Confirm the cabling specification and installation requirements for the intended network; do not assume that a cable listing establishes compatibility with every powered camera or network design.

Camera Mounting Accessories

The DS-1280ZJ-DM18-BLK black junction box bracket is an aluminium-alloy bracket measuring 60 x 180 x 180 mm. Check the mounting pattern, dimensions and exact camera model before ordering; similar appearance or brand name alone does not establish fit.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose between the listed turret and bullet cameras?

Compare the exact camera model, lens and scene coverage, resolution, infrared range, wide dynamic range, environmental rating and any analytics or deterrence functions. The listed 6MP turret and 6MP bullet cameras have different lens and infrared-range specifications. Select against the scene and installation constraints rather than the camera shape alone.

What is the difference between the listed mobile DVR and NVR?

The AE-MD5043 listing describes a 4-channel mobile DVR for HD-TVI camera inputs up to 1080p with two 2.5-inch drive bays. The AE-MN5043-RJ45 listing describes a 4-channel mobile NVR with PoE connectivity and support for up to 5MP resolution. Check the proposed cameras, signal/interface, recorder specifications and storage requirements before pairing equipment.

What camera specifications should I check before ordering?

Check resolution, lens focal length, infrared range, wide dynamic range, IP rating and any specified analytics, audio or active-light features. Confirm that the camera suits the required field of view, viewing distance, lighting, environment and installation position. Features stated for one model should not be assumed for the full brand range.

What should I check before ordering a mounting bracket?

Confirm the exact camera model, mounting pattern and dimensions. The DS-1280ZJ-DM18-BLK bracket measures 60 x 180 x 180 mm; those dimensions alone do not prove compatibility with a specific camera. Refer to the relevant product and manufacturer documentation.

Does SCHNAP sell genuine Hikvision products?

SCHNAP product listings identify the brand as Hikvision and provide model-specific details and a SCHNAP SKU. If a project requires a specific Australian-market variant, warranty coverage or manufacturer-support arrangement, confirm those details with SCHNAP for the exact SKU before purchase.

Are all Hikvision products compliant with Australian/New Zealand standards?

Compliance should be confirmed for the specific Hikvision product and application. Refer to the individual SCHNAP product page and the applicable Australian/New Zealand standards rather than relying on a blanket statement for the entire range.

How do I access SCHNAP electrician trade pricing?

Apply for Trade Access and provide the required licence details. Once verified and approved, eligible trade prices are visible when logged in.
