  2. Deburr: This is the most critical step. You must remove the rough inner edge of the cut pipe with a deburring tool. If you don't, the burrs will get rolled into the flare face, causing leaks.
  3. Don't Forget the Nut: Slide the flare nut onto the pipe before you flare it. We have all made that mistake once.
