The encoder cassette converts analogue video and audio signals into a MPEG2 data stream. This data stream is then available in the TDX POOL and can be sent out on all types of modulations. Teletext as well as WS and VPS signaling in the analogue signal is preserved and embedded into the MPEG2 stream.
